Learn About our Certifications

Our world

We work with long lasting fabrics, shapes and trends. Pieces that are made to last, that can be washed over and over again. In this article you will learn more about the different certifications and what they mean.

Dictionary & Certifications

Our dedication to environmental and social responsibility is exemplified through our use of certified materials. These certifications ensure that the materials we source meet rigorous standards for environmental impact, ethical production, and quality.

Viscose is made of trees. We mainly use FSC certified viscose that assures that all the products are made with, or contain, forest-based materials from FSC-certified forests. This also means that the products won't have harmed the forests, precious resources we need to protect. We also plant trees for every tree we take to make our viscose. This ensures that we never take more than we give back.

GOTS is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the production process of textiles. It is internationally recognized as the toughest organic textile standard because it goes far beyond verifying the organic farming process to include every step of manufacturing.
Global Recycled Standard is a certification for the use of recycled materials. The GRS is intended to meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of their products (both finished and intermediate) and to verify responsible social, environmental and chemical practices in their production (the entire supply chain). By using recycled materials, we reduce the need for new raw materials, and reduce climate emissions. We reduce the use of water and energy.
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector's future.

EcoVero is a sustainable viscose made from responsibly sourced wood pulp.

When using EcoVero viscose, we have a 50% lower emission and water impact through an eco-responsible production process.

Eco Vero is based on three pillars: the use of certified, controlled sustainable wood sources; more ecological production processes; and supply chain transparency.

OEKO-TEX certification promises that every component of the article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless in human ecological terms. Meaning that the whole product is carefully tested for Toxic Chemicals.
The Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. The RWS requires all sites to be certified, beginning with the wool farmers and through to the seller in the final business to business transaction.

OCS is a certificate we have for our cotton blended fabrics. This is to ensure that the cotton in the fabric is made with organic fibers only.

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of certified organic input and chain of custody.

The goal of the OCS is to increase organic agriculture production. The certification ensures that the identity of the organic content is maintained: from farm to final product. Only material from certified organic farms is accepted to the OCS.

The European FLAX standard certification ensures that flax fibers used in textile production meet strict environmental and quality criteria. Flax, known for its natural strength and moisture-wicking properties, is cultivated sustainably under this certification. It guarantees responsible farming practices that minimize environmental impact, such as reduced water usage and limited pesticide application. Products carrying the European FLAX standard certification are recognized for their durability, breathability, and contribution to a more sustainable textile industry.
